Formerly "black thumb" trying to turn green for a better world

The History Behind it . . . What are War Gardens?

Agriculture and successful food production was a critical tool in both World War I and World War II. During both wars, Americans were urged to grow their own food in order to allow the commercial farmers to produce food for our troops and to free up our transportation systems for war efforts instead of food shipments for non-military use.

Now it's time to grow our "War Gardens" to fight pollution, stop to use of harmful chemicals poisoning our bodies, minds, and soil, and heal ourselves, each other, our communities, and our planet.
